LifeSafe App Review: How to Stay Safe & Report

Have you ever been out late coming back from a party on campus or had a study night with friends that turned into an all-night event of more socializing than studying? I mean, let’s be real. We’ve all been there. We might have even had moments where we have to go see a friend in the middle of the night because we left something at their place or we’re just not feeling well and need to talk. Whatever the case may be, there is no reason you should have to be worried about your safety and well-being as you walk across campus late at night. There is an app that people can use to track their safety and report suspicious activity immediately.

This app is called LiveSafe and can be downloaded for free on both Android and Apple devices. LiveSafe lets you connect with the KSU Police in multiple ways. This app offers features that lets you:

  • Communicate with authorities and friends about safety
  • Share information and safety concerns
  • Send text, pictures, videos, and audio directly to safety officials
  • Get around safely with the help of your friends and community
  • See nearby incidents and find safety locations

LiveSafe is rated 4.2 stars on the Google Play Store, which I can agree with. This app is truly amazing and easy to use. All you have to do is sign up using your cell phone number, email, and a password. Once you’re signed up you can search for Kennesaw State University and join the community. This gives you all the information you need for staying safe and reporting on both campuses. There are four main icons on the homepage of the app: report tips, emergency options, KSU resources, and safe walk features. Within the settings, there are also tabs that extend the services and content provided by the LiveSafe App, such as “My Activity,” Kennesaw State University info, emergency procedures, sexual assault and interpersonal violence, campus maps, and settings.

Please note that, through the settings tab, you can adjust any profile settings and manage organizations. You can add other communities if you’re visiting friends on college campuses at other universities such as Georgia Tech, SCAD, Winthrop University, and others across the state and country.

Thank you for taking the time to read this review. I hope you all decide to use the LiveSafe app when travelling to different universities, walking across campus, or wherever you go late at night or even in sketchy situations during the day. Stay Safe! 🙂
