It’s that time of the semester, when all we want to do is crawl under our covers for a Netflix binge. But, of course, we are faced instead with midterm exams and papers that catch you completely off-guard. This is just part of the whole college hustle. We have to find ways to relax and maintain balance in order to avoid completely freaking out. Here are a few suggestions on how to do just that:
Attend a School Event
There are a variety of fun and unique events around campus each week. You can go to a game, watch a play, or attend seminars. These activities help to both re-energize yourself and to take the edge off.
Spring Break Planning
Spring break – the light at the end of the tunnel. To help ease your exam troubles, you can start to plan your spring break. This will give you something to look forward to after all of your exams, essays, and research papers.
Join a New Organization
This is probably the last thing on your mind, but student organizations help to reduce stress. Most student organizations hold events that help their members to unwind. Additionally, the members of the organizations can make great study buddies.
Movie Night
Pass the popcorn! Take some time to relax and watch a movie. Invite some friends over and have fun. Remember to manage your time before your movie night – make sure you have your priorities sorted out first.
Walk a Dog
Keep an eye out for stress dogs! They come to campus to help students unwind and relax. If you miss them, don’t worry: walk a dog you know, or stop by the local animal shelter. This helps to free your mind of all your deadlines and the stress that comes with college.
