This makeup look is great for a more dressed-up costume. The top half of your face will be beautiful, while the bottom half will look like it is decaying. You could put on a sleeveless dress and add bruises to one arm, as well as adding bruising to your neck.
- Start with a fresh, clean face, and apply a primer.
- Apply liquid foundation.
- Make sure the foundation is a true match for you. The foundation can be applied with a brush or sponge (beauty blender), whichever is more comfortable for you.
- Set with a translucent powder.
- Translucent powder is the best to set with, because you will be using different colors. However, that option is open: powder foundation can be used to set.
- Fill in eyebrows.
- Highlight and contour face.
- Apply eyeshadow.
- Use subtle colors such as burgundy, brown, and tan. You don’t want the eyeshadow to be too dramatic. The eyeliner is the big dramatic part of this look, besides the mouth. Apply the tan/brown color to the crease, and blend it out. This is your transition color. Then apply the burgundy/red color on the crease, and bring it down to the lid.
- Apply eyeliner with a bold wing.
- If you have seen Amy Winehouse’s eyeliner, that is what we are going for; the bigger, the better.
- Take liquid latex, apply to the mouth area, and then lay cotton balls or tissue paper on top before it dries completely.
- Apply a generous amount of liquid latex, but not too much because it does dry relatively fast. Place tissue down, then tear and spread it out over the latex.
- Repeat multiple times until it looks sufficient to you.
- Pull tissue apart to give it a torn effect.
- Tear and pull it apart so you get a zombie mouth effect; the messier, the better. There is no messing up. If too much comes off, it’s okay. You can just add a little bit more latex and tissue, or your can just leave it.
- Take liquid foundation and put it all over the tissue/latex combo.
- This is to make the latex/ tissue combo blend in with your skin so it looks like a scar. Make sure the foundation is the same as what you put on your face.
- Take red paint and put it in the cracks and crevasse.
- This gives the effect of blood and tissue.
- Take a bruise wheel or eyeshadow and make a bruised effect around the cheek and nose area.
- The main colors you want for this are dark red, purple, bright green, and a dark indigo.
- Use bruise colors in the cracks and crevasse.
- Use the same colors listed above to make the cracks look more decayed and gross. The main colors to use are dark red, purple, and green.
- Blend, blend, blend.
- Make sure you blend everything out so it does not look caked up.
- Add fake blood
- Add as much fake blood as you want to the mouth area.
Optional: add bruises to your forehead and other parts of your face.
